This simple process works with all human desires to include the way you look, what you eat, sexual desires and the things you must buy to be happy.
Your brain (mind) controls your thoughts and desires but your soul controls your actions. If you filter these thoughts with logic, reason and morals, your actions will always be good (the right choice). For example, your brains tells you (thoughts) that you want money to buy a car (desires). But reality confronts you with your complete lack of money. In other words, you are broke. But your mind keeps dwelling on this new car and your desire to acquire one intensifies, to the point that you must have one. But you are still without money. So you must decide how you will get the car. You could steal one, ask your parents to buy one for you, work and save for one, borrow money to buy one, or just do without one. When these desires are filter through logic, reasons and morals, you will always make the right decision. If you let your desires control you without moral reflection, you actions will usually always become mistakes.
