These actions by our churches will reveal the true Christians. Actions speak much louder than words. This court decision will have a polarizing effect. Real Christians will forcefully side with Christ and his teachings in the Bible. The wolves in sheep’s’ clothing will run to the opposite side of the field. Battle lines have been drawn. This decision will flush out true Christians and expose the heretics to the light of day. The true test will come when the persecutions by civil authorizes, the courts and secular society begins. Those Churches left standing will come to realize that though they have some differences in doctrine, they are true followers of Christ. These real Churches are the true believers of God and are marching with the Holy Spirit. This decision will produce a reconciliation of true Christians who will realize that they have to march under the banner of a Universal Church in order to be triumphant.
If the Catholic Church wants to become the general in this conflict, it better take the que from the Mormons and make a quick statement rejecting gay marriages. Use the text of their Bull: “Sexual relations outside of such a marriage are contrary to the laws of God pertaining to morality. Changes in the civil law do not, indeed cannot, change the moral law that God has established. God expects us to uphold and keep His commandments regardless of divergent opinions or trends in society. His law of chastity is clear: sexual relations are proper only between a man and a woman who are legally and lawfully wedded as husband and wife…Consistent with our fundamental beliefs, Church officers will not employ their ecclesiastical authority to perform marriages between two people of the same sex, and the Church does not permit its meetinghouses or other properties to be used for ceremonies, receptions, or other activities associated with same‐sex marriages. Nevertheless, all visitors are welcome to our chapels and premises so long as they respect our standards of conduct while there…” Pope Francis should become a leader for Christ if he wants to be a follower of Christ.
