This homosexual rant going on today as a result of religious freedom laws passed in Indiana and Arkansas demonstrate the hate tactics employed by these hate groups. When our constitution was drafted over 200 years ago, the drafters never envisioned some fundamental right to be homosexual much less a right for two women or two men to marry. In fact the drafters, using the Bible as a moral guide, would have probably denounced such behavior. Regardless of the morasses of our time, the constitution does grant individuals freedom to practice their religion without any government intrusion. This freedom to practice one’s religion ranks up there with the right of free speech and the right to peaceably assemble. These current religious freedom laws in the news today only further restrict the government’s ability to pass laws which impinge on a person’s right to practice his or her religion. These laws require strict scrutiny. That means that any government action, which impinges on a person’s religious right, must have a compelling state interest. This scrutiny is nothing new in constitutional law. All laws that discriminate based on race and sex must also pass this same strict scrutiny test. And the term “sex” refers to discrimination against males versus females or vice versa, not homosexuals. But religion is given a more important position in the constitution than most other protected classes because it explicitly forbids the government from adopting laws which tend to establish or support religion. The language of the constitution allowed the Supreme Court to create the doctrine of separation of church and state. A person's right to practice his or her religion or to hold specific religious beliefs must be completely void of government intervention.
These homosexual protesters and these Hollywood, leftist elites are generating this jihad against Christianity based on some perceived individual right to be homosexual. And they are using this hysteria to further their agenda for the acceptance of homosexual marriage. The only problem with these radical positions is that the constitution does not acknowledge a right to be homosexual. And the constitution does not even acknowledge a right to marry, whether heterosexual or homosexual. In fact the courts have allowed laws that limit heterosexual marriage based on consanguinity, age, sex and mentality. In other words, one cannot marry a first cousin. In many States marriage is defined as a contract between a man and a woman only. Fourteen year olds cannot marry or persons with mental deficiencies. Marriage requires informed consent.These restrictions on marriages are based on the laws of nature and common sense morality and decency. Inbreeding causes deformity. (Just look at some of the families of the Egyptian Pharaohs for inbreeding deformities). Marriage between minors may lead to child porn. States have several compelling interests to regulate the institution of marriage. Marriage, since the creation of man, has always been defined as a union between a man and a women and will always be defined that way by most legitimate religions. The redefinition of marriage within the last decade by these liberal courts is social engineering taken to extreme. Will a Jewish deli be required to sell non kosher food? Will Muslim newspapers be required to print depictions of Mohamed? According to these radical, homosexual jihadists, all religions must bow down to them. Governments can pass laws to legitimize homosexual marriages till the cows come home but these newly created rights in some States will never trump someone’s right to freely practice his or her religion. The right to be homosexual is not a protected class which demands strict scrutiny. The right to marry or to be homosexual will never trump someone else's right to his or her religion. The United States Supreme Court recently ruled in the Hobby Lobby case that corporations and other business entities do have the right to religious beliefs. If a person or a business can discriminate against an abortion based on religious beliefs, then that same person or business can discriminate against homosexuals. Our government cannot force persons or businesses to violate their religious beliefs. Otherwise our government may turn into a political system similar to the Muslim nations. The non Muslim is the enemy under Islam. It seems that the Christians and their religion are becoming the enemy in the United States. Just ask the Muslims about religious beliefs and practices. Under Islam, the Church is the State and the State is the Church. And homosexuality will get your head chopped off under Islam.
